Remuera Residents Association Inc.

For the benefit of the residents of Remuera

Mr M Stiassny
Chairman
Vector
PO Box 99 882

21 November 2014

Dear Mr Stiassny,

Power outages in Remuera

We write to express the serious concerns raised by many Remuera residents who experienced the recent electricity outages.

We have the following questions:

  1.  What is your explanation for the fault which occurred at the St John’s substation on the 15th November?
  2.  When can we expect an apology from your Company?
  3.  When can we expect compensation to be paid to those who suffer loss in the October outage?
  4.  What measures has your company put in place to secure the supply of electricity in the future?

On behalf of our members, and the people of Remuera who have been adversely affected by your company’s non-performance, we do not accept the apparent cavalier attitude of your company towards the residents of this area and your ongoing expectation that outages are to be expected and should be an acceptable part of living in Auckland.

We look forward to your reply,

Iain Valentine
Chairman.
