Auckland Transport are proposing to install a No U-Turn sign next to the SH1 Market Road motorway off ramp (travelling southbound), which leads to the intersection of Mount Hobson Road and Market Road. The sign will allow for more effective enforcement of illegal U-turn movements from the off ramp onto Mount Hobson Road.
AT expect to introduce this work in the 2017/18 financial year, subject to any further changes in design or funding issues. Contractors will issue 48-hour notices to all affected residents prior to construction work.
