posted in: Latest News 0

The Ōrākei Local Board is restoring the stream in Waiata Reserve by getting rid of invasive weeds and replanting the stream banks with native plants. A natural, clean and beautiful stream environment is good for native wildlife and creates a nicer space for people to enjoy.

Join our community planting day, bring all the family and stay for a free sausage sizzle afterwards.

Where: Waiata Reserve, Remuera (follow the path down from the end of Waiata Ave)

When: Saturday 23rd June 2018, 10 – 12 pm

What to bring: Gumboots or closed toe shoes, appropriate clothing, favourite spade, gardening gloves (optional). Some spades will also be provided.

Please note: Children are to be accompanied and supervised by an adult.

There will be no rain date – planting will proceed rain, hail, or shine.
