Waiata Reserve Community Planting Day – Sunday 25 June

posted in: Latest News 0

The Ōrākei Local Board is restoring the stream in Waiata Reserve by getting rid of invasive weeds and replanting the stream banks with native plants.

A natural, clean and beautiful stream environment is good for native wildlife and creates a nicer space for people to enjoy.

Make a positive difference – Join this community event! Bring all the family and stay for a free sausage sizzle afterwards.

Where: Waiata Reserve, Remuera (follow the path down from the end of Waiata Ave)
When: Sunday 25th June 2017, 1 – 3 pm

gloves (optional). Some spades will also be provided.

Please note: Children are to be accompanied and supervised by an adult.
